Sacrifice

So how I run my notebooks is this: when I get a new one, I start drawing on the SECOND page of the notebook, and then I go all the way through, and then at the end, I go back to the first page and draw one final picture. In theory, the first page of the notebook when you open it will be the best one of the entire thing. Then the second one will be the worst. It's kind of just to show the amount of improvement from the first picture to the last. So this is my first picture of my notebook. I finished it a few days ago.
You have no idea how long it took me to figure out what to do with the bottom in terms of background. I had the whole thing planned out except for the bottom. Should there be a line, like the ground? Should it just fade out? In the end, I don't even know what I ended up deciding on. (What is this??)
The concept is that she's an angel that sacrificed something for someone else that made her more mortal, so she lost her wings. She's still an angel--she radiates light and has a (gel pen) halo and everything, but the wings are simple tattoos on her back--a reminder of what she once had.
